The Auto-Shot sampler automates a continuous analysis of up to 48 samples. Operations can be made continuously or randomly using various analysis modes such as Single-shot analysis, Double-shot analysis, Evolved gas analysis, and Heart-cut EGA analysis. In addition, the system operation combined with optional accessories such as MicroJet Cryo-trap, Selective Sampler, and Carrier Gas Selector can be automated, further saving labor and improving reliability.
The new AS-2020E has an improved sample cup recovery rate. In addition, parts can be easily replaced for easier maintenance, and a more compact body makes it easier to handle.

This device allows heart-cut analysis by sampling any temperature zone in an EGA thermogram
It is a device that introduces components of any temperature zone in an EGA thermogram obtained by Multi-Shot Pyrolyzer or thermogravimetric analyzer (TG) into a separation column. By employing a flow path switching mechanism that utilizes the pressure difference between purge gas and carrier gas without using mechanical valves, a flow path system with no contamination or adsorption of polar compounds has been achieved with no dead space or cooling points (patented in Japan).
The new specifications of SS-2010E include support for a wide range of power supplies from 100V to 240V. In addition, the flow of carrier gas is displayed on the front panel of the flow controller.

Rapid analysis of light, heat, and oxidative degradation of polymer materials, providing a powerful tool for material design, development, and early evaluation of weather resistance.
Weather-induced degradation tests of polymeric material usually requires weeks or months to complete. Frontier Laboratory’s new Micro-UV irradiator uses a xenon lamp to provide UV light intensity about 2000 times stronger than that of a deuterium lamp. This reduces the time necessary to acquire meaningful data reflecting the degradation of the sample.
The effects of “weather” upon exposure to the photo / thermal – oxidative degradation process can quickly be evaluated. This information invaluably facilitate designing and developing new materials. The same system can also be applied to other analytical areas such as elucidation of the effects of additives on a polymer’s physical and chemical behavior (e.g. antioxidants). Photochemical reactions and UV curing can also be examined.

Small amounts of photo/thermal – oxidative degradation products are generated when a polymeric material is irradiated by UV irradiation in air while being heated. The qualitative or quantitative analysis of the degradation products can be accomplished by cryo-trapping the degradation products at the head of a separation column prior to chromatographic separation. - Analysis of polymeric materials degraded by exposure to a photo/thermal-oxidative environment:
The irradiated polymer can be evaluated by evolved gas analysis (EGA-MS) or flash pyrolysis (Py-GC/MS). This resulting data often provides information on the structural changes in the polymeric material.

A cryo-focusing device that traps low-boiling-point compounds by liquid N2 cooling in GC oven.
Nitrogen gas flows through a heat exchange coil immersed in liquid nitrogen to liquefy it, and then the liquified nitrogen is sprayed as a jet flow onto the head of the separation column in the GC oven to cool and trap the analytes there. The cooled area is then rapidly heated by circulating heated air in the GC oven for thermal desorption. The MJT-2030E with new specifications now has a digital display of the nitrogen pressure gauge value, making it easier to adjust the nitrogen gas flow rate. In addition, the end of the liquid nitrogen introduction tube has been modified to a U shape, making column installation easier.
* There is also a stand-alone model (MJT-1035E) available for use with pre-processing equipment from third-party manufacturers, in addition to pyrolyzer.
