The 3200 Dual Zone Heater is designed to heat liquid or solid samples in up to six 40 ml VOA vials. Heating samples can be used to increase the vapor pressure of liquids containing volatile components. It will also drive off volatile compounds from solid samples.
Separate heating zones for the sample vial (lower portion) and for the septum lids (upper portion) eliminates water condensation on the septum lid and thereby the probability of ingesting liquids due to drop formation.
The 3200 has two simple to use digital temperature controllers that allow selection of upper and lower zone temperatures in one degree increments. Each zone is independently controlled and has its own set point temperature or monitor temperature readout.
Each of the six vial positions has an anodized aluminum cover which allows the top of the vial to be completely enclosed for maximum heat containment. A small hold in the cover allows access to the vial septum to perform sampling.
